The Gobbler is proud to support DOVE Center

For those who have been hurt by domestic violence and/or sexual assault, we’re here to bring hope.

Domestic violence occurs in homes throughout every community. It knows no color, gender, age or socioeconomic status. The abuse can be physical, mental, sexual or emotional. And as a victim of domestic violence, you may feel like there’s nowhere to turn. But there is hope.

Sexual assault can be verbal, visual, or anything that forces a person to join in unwanted sexual contact or attention. It can happen in different situations: in the home by someone you know, on a date, or by a stranger in an isolated place. Rape and sexual assault are never the victim’s fault — no matter where or how it happens. As a victim of sexual assault you may feel like there’s nowhere to turn. But there is hope.

Hope that there are others who understand and care for you. Hope that your future is filled with promise, not pain. Hope that a comfortable, safe, secure and confidential place is within your reach.

For over 20 years, DOVE Center has been committed to providing safe, caring, and confidential shelter and advocacy and support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and to reducing the incidents of abuse through prevention education. We’re here 24 hours a day through our emergency hotline. We’re here if you need confidential shelter, counseling, justice system advocacy, and access to youth programs, support groups and life skills classes. We’re here to bring hope with open arms, hearts and, of course, ears. We’re here to provide a place where peace in your life can begin; a place where you can reclaim yourself!
